Rustic Riders April 2012 News

The Springing Times! Rustic Riders April 2012 News The water in Coreys is exceptionally low this year as compared to the record highs of last year. Go figure! As I write it’s a glorious day full of music and hope. In honor of Holocaust Remembrance Day this month, we are offering a free download of our “Song of Hope” from our CD “Among These Hills” (Just click on Song of Hope to get it!) After some physical limitations this winter, it’s great to be playing music with folks again. We had a great time meeting and playing for new and old friends at the ADK Harvest Fundraiser and celebration of small farms and on St. Patrick’s Day and the ADK Mountain Club Loj in Lake Placid. In the coming month we will be playing a lot of new tunes related to the care of the earth in honor of the 50th anniversary this year of Rachel Carson’s book Silent Spring and for Earth Day. April Dates: Sunday, April 15, 2012, 4:00 - 7:00pm Fundraiser for the ADK Green Circle 44 Hollow Lane, Wilmington, NY There will be an educational tour of this areas first and only LEED Gold certified home on the market. All are welcome. Complimentary food and wine will be served. There will be a silent auction including a gift basket from Conscious Designs in Lake Placid. Also live entertainment by the Rustic Riders and a Hula Hooping demonstration! The Green Circle’s mission is to create a forum that will educate and inspire both ourselves and our community to choose sustainable living practices. Sustainability means meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. By promoting these practices in our lives and in the community, we move towards living in harmony with our earth and each other.
