From the recording Just One Step
Based on a Chinese proverb. “The journey of a thousand miles begins with just one step.” My mother had chronic progressive Multiple Sclerosis. Each day she sought to do as much as she could, though each day was less and less she never gave up her spirit!

Chorus:
Just one step, I only have to start
Just one step, don’t worry ‘bout the next
Just one step, it’s all I have to take
God will take care of the rest
Sometimes I feel so very lost; I don’t even know where to start
I want to crawl back into bed forget about my broken heart
Sometimes I feel so overwhelmed. So much to do, so little time
I end up doing nothing at all. I give up even trying
Chorus:
Don’t worry about your life, what you will eat, what you will drink
God will provide what you need, don’t worry about what others think
Look at the birds flying so free, the splendor of the lilies in the field
If God takes care of the least of these God will surely care for me
Chorus:
Don’t worry about tomorrow, tomorrow has troubles of its own
God knows every hair on my head, God will surely lead me home
The journey of a thousand miles begins with just one step
I can travel as far as I need; I only have to take the first step
Chorus: x2 repeat last line
